What does everyone use target, I’ve tried a couple that I could easily get and just wondering if there’s anything I could try

The ok list
Tula 62gr - worked alright
Geco 53gr - worked great, sub 1 moa pretty easily

No so good list
Hornady 68gr Hp - 2moa
Hornady frontier - just terrible…….

So far geco is the go to. £12 ish a box and 1” groups, all good.

What else should I try? The heavier geco worth a go?
Or GGG?

Pretty much I’m trying to balance cost vs performance. At the moment hornady is falling very short!

Will soon be starting to reload, but in the mean time I’m open to recommendations

What twist is your barrel? Normal rule of thumb faster the twist the heavier the bullet it will stabilise. I would suggest if you are saying 53gns work then yours is a 1-12. Maybe try the Remington freedom bucket stuff which is 55gn.

In that case, try something 69gn if you can find some.. normally Inwould suggest reloading but between components being in short supply and the costs if you can find cheapish factory that works I'd stick with that

I have a 1:9 that shoots GGG 69gn very well or for handloads I use the 69gn SMK's

Il try and find something 60-70gr range that works

I did try the hornady 68gr match as said above and that performed about as well as the Tula……interestingly.

I shoot 69gr Sierra Matchking (but handloaded) in my .223 Remington 700 (1 in 9 twist).

This is the goal tbh. I’m collecting loading kit atm, poor timing I know
