More records

I am now reading that certain FLU'S want FAC holders to record reloads on their FAC !! You would need a volume.
I always record my reloads in exercise books.. what else would be needed.

Spanks of a no nothing type not having a clue

I have a spreadsheet that I log ammo shot through all the rifles, Northants suggested they were happy with that.

There is nothing in the Firearms Act that requres this .

After 55 years of reloading, I have never logged any of my production.

I wish I hadn't either......I really don't need reminding about the amount of money that's gone up in smoke over the last 17 years.

When I first started reloading I kept the spent primers to show the FEO showing I was actually reloading, I was told not to waste my time collecting them unless it was going to be a new hobby of spent primer collections

Hi Mike
Same thing happened to me about 6/7 years ago when renewing my FAC, i was told i needed to log my reloads and rds fired on top of my personal shooters log and the clubs log, said i should make up a spreadsheet for the purpose of rds fired and reloads made and held in stock.
They said at the time it was because i hadn't bought much factory ammunition (i reload for all my old guns) over the previous 5yrs so it appeared to them i wasn't doing much shooting, they only had to look at my shooting log and check the clubs log to see i had.
I agreed to the logging of rounds fired because thats easy to add into your shooting log but said untill it became a legal requirement i wasn't prepared to log homeloads and left it at that, i never heard another thing from them and i have had a further renewal since then.
It wouldn't surprise me in the least if they try at some stage to make it a legal requirement but at present i would remind them it isn't a legal requirement and its really up to you if you want to comply, there also going to need a much bigger licence to get 5 years worth of reloads listed.

If this can be pined down to fact, not just anecdotal, there should a bold printed, front page announcement in all the various shooting associations news letters and websites stating quite clearly that this is not a FAC requirement and advise members not to comply. This is nothing more than "death by a thousand cuts" mission creep and which we have been continually subject too for many years.
