Safe shooter card

#1 Post by shoppe »

Hi. Can someone tell me when the hand loading thing comes into force on the safe shooter card?
I have been told it is July this year.
I thought it was the start of this year
We are planning to visit to bisley in early April.
Cheers

Yes, my card also but due to a " local" issue the other shooters in the group did not.
I got a copy ( today ) of an email from the nra sent to another shooter showing the start date.
Thanks

My second Club that has over 150 members all the full bore shooters that visit Bisley or MOD ranges have hand loading on there 2024 safe shooters cards. Have a word with your Club Secretary he should be able to advise.

Cards with handloading included are being issued ahead of the effective date of the scheme, with as many as possible being done in the course of annual renewal, just to keep the administrative effort and physical production time down to something that's manageable.

Yes. I know the club sec should have done it but he did not.
Thats the problem.
However I contacted the NRA and confirmed we will be fine for this visit as its before 1st June. We have other visits planned in July onwards so we will get if sorted by then.
Thanks
