2012 Phoenix Meeting info

Phoenix 2012 will be a week later than normal (1 - 3 June) to coincide with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

The International Match will be held on Mon 4 June.

what is the difference between all these shot

the Imperial , MacQueens , Phoenix .............. the list goes on and on and on

I need a newbie summary please!!!

European 2012 FTR Champion (November 2012 I had +- 112 very lucky shots in a row)

easy:

Imperial = Pimms, Champas and Porsches.
Everything else = Pasty, Chips and Beans.

Eager,

a quick summary here.

Bisley Competitions:

Rough Guide.

Action Weekends (Spring/Autumn etc)

Competitions using Gallery Rifle, Long Barrelled pistols, shotgun, rifle, black powder pistol
Targets, paper and steel reactive

Imperial (July)
Mainly Match Rifle and Target Rifle. Also GR, LBP. Historic Arms.

Trafalgar: All of the above

Phoenix:
So called because it arose from the ashes of the pistol anno dominie meeting, as per action weekends.

McQueen: Snap shooting at targets appearing in ‘castle windows’. Rifle 2/300 yards.

Yeah may be for the bank account but I have all these guns, shed loads of ammo, European Championships approaching (haven't yet put on my new 7mm barrel and zeroed it) the sun is shining and I'm stuck in a :squirrel: office! 'Umbug
