Hi John,

In order to plan and book next years' matches and meetings I've been trying to track down dates for various 2012 events, such as the Open Days, Trafalgar, Bisley Live etc. These weren't on the main website calendar, but having logged-in to the booking system I see that most of them are available there - I wish I'd known sooner.

What would be great is a shared NRA Google calendar with the main events on it. Clubs and assocs could overlay this on their own calendars to plan the season without the captains and secretaries of different clubs each having to research and enter the dates independently. Can you suggest this before your escape plan kicks-in? If the NRA don't want to do it then I could do it anyway, but it would be better if done at source.

One other thing - do you know the date of the 2012 Mini Palma match?

Thanks!

Hi Eager,

What do you shoot at the moment, what do you want to shoot in the future, and what's your favorite?

...then I may be able to offer a suggestion of which meetings would suit.....

Rox,

The plot here says 28th April for mini-palma.

Karen will confirm or poo-poo when she next sobers up!

I do know that the online booking system has been playing up, it rejected a booking I tried to make and I know that 'we' haven't even started on next years bookings yet!

So, if you make an online booking and it gets rejeceted, hang tough, our man James will sort it when he sobers up too! :) :flag13:

The first competition during the Imperial is the 5 day Civilian Service Rifle/Practical Rifle Meeting, even the NRA Chairman forgot to mention it during his annual speech. :cool2:

He wont forget next year!

But PRACTICAL is still a swear word at Bisley.

Despite best efforts of a lot of sensible, knowlegeable and experienced members 'we' don't allow practical.

As for 'Service Rifle' :-P

I can remember the anger when it was suggested the name Practical Rifle was going to be dropped , although looking at this years Bible I see section 65 (page 88) is still headed: CIVILIAN SERVICE RIFLE/PRACTICAL RIFLE

Since Martin Farnan has departed (is he back again?) we have run it ourselves (almost) with help from Chris Webb who I can remember from this last year was pasting Fig 11's at gone 7.00pm in the evening...........nice bloke!
