Platitudes are all very well, but to remove those holding the reins of the NRA requires people who can vote DO vote at the AGM.
It also requires alternative candidates coming forward, not another bunch of plonkers!
Somehow, I do not believe it will happen.
My sincere sympathies to al those who have lost their jobs, particularly Chris as I have known him for years.

Sorry to hear that people have lost their jobs.
I don't know Nick but Bnz and I have met Chris a few times and he was helpful and friendly. It was after having a chat with him at Newark last year that we decided to look into joining the NRA, we sent our forms in last week.

Chris was one of the few NRA staff who knew my name and would stop to speak with me, I hope he will be able to continue shooting and enjoy it,

Ah I think that's because people are still legally in post if they are on gardening leave after being made redundant. Fairly sure thats why Glynn is still listed.

Haven't had the chance to be on the forum much recently, as you can well imagine. State of play is:

Those who have been made redundant pending the one week appeal period are:

Chris Webb - Regional Manager
Nick Halford - Membership Assistant
Phyllis Farnan - Director of Training
Elaine Buttle - PA to Secretary General
Graham Gold - Financial Manager
John Swift - Estate Plumber
Peter Woodford - Estate Electrician
Derrick O'Sullivan - Target Shed Manager

Actual dates of leaving are varied, the Estate guys have gone already, but anticipate sooner rather than later so that the restructuring can start to happen.

There are/will be some positions that will need filling within the new structure and some positions planned for the future when we have the money to pay them.

Jobs like the Regional Managers will be spread amongst other staff, not just ignored/not done.

I'm sure that once it all settles down and the appeal period is over, there will be an official statement.

Staff are feeling a bit bruised and emotional at the moment.

Regards
Heather - who now has a husband looking for a job!

How many staff does this leave Heather? Certainly most of the named you listed are people I know of, in fact about the only ones left that I know by names are you, Karen and Iain plus RP of course.

I forgot to mention that Karen Grafton-Brown from accounts is also leaving but that is a straight resignation as she has a new job.

We have 23 left in the offices, 9 on the estate and 4 at the clays centre plus a few part timers.
