apologises if i shouldnt ask this but i am curious.......

I have heard that nra are getting rid of a lot more staff - Staples, Alger and Enser have gone which must have saved a pretty penny and according to nra journal a load were retired recently so what else has happened.

I heard 9 more people are going/have gone - i dont know how many work there now (30,40?) but it seems a lot to get rid of. Hope the staff who post on here are OK

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Um well I haven't been told I can't talk about it but I haven't been told I can so I think I had better not say anything.

There is stuff going on and I'm sure that an "official" statement will come out in due course

Sorry I can't be of more help :squirrel:

Love

karen

Having returned from my Christmas sojourn, I met some friends at a meeting this evening which took place at Bisley.

There are major changes in the wind and I understand that most, if not all, staff have been given 'at risk' letters.

I also understand that three members of outside staff have already asked for 'voluntary' redundancy and that one other resignation has been tendered.

The decisions will be announced on the 16th of this month (the day I fly to Malta so Karen will have to fill you all in on the details.)

Some trimming was long overdue, there has been a lot of dead wood here and some reduction will bring improvements as well as saving some much needed cash. This is not sour grapes as I'm enjoying being retired.

The NRA/NSC gave me almost ten good years and I sincerely hope that these changes secure it's future and proves beneficial to all it's members.

The Regional Manager, however, has also had his 'at risk' letter which can't be good news for those 'out in the sticks' who already feel undervalued.
