There were 2/3 layers of wire fencing which had collapsed over the years so this hasnt made it easy to dig out the soil . once the ditch was cleared I set about building a terrace and putting in a hedge of various native species one oak tree , one holly several hazels , blackthorn , and copper beech , with some wild rambling roses .
The lawn so far and the new borders , and still loads to do . I have moved about a dozen rose bushes , the oak I moved from one of the old borders . Still plenty to do this year .

Re: continued
That has the makings of a very nice garden.
I can tell from the pictures that loads of work has been done already and still some way to go.
Then after that comes the maintenance which is a never ending story:)
Well done that man.

I bet the neighbours are pleased that all the rubbish is being cleared.
Looking good.

You have certainly put some work into it so far and it looks good for it. Nice that you have taken pictures of the progress as well.
Well done indeed.
