Good day at Minsterley yesterday

#1 Post by snayperskaya »

Had a pleasant day at Minsterley Ranges yesterday, I rechecked the zero on the Dragunov scopes ready for Sennybridge next weekend and also met this forums very own ChrisB and Tony.It was nice to have a good natter and put some faces to names and thank you to you guys for letting me put a few rounds through your rifles and look forward to seeing you at Sennybridge.A shooting mate of mine was there with one of the new GSG 1911s so had a go of that and I was quite impressed, its an accurate little thing at 50m.I also tried an underlever for the first time, a Winchester .22, which was also very nice to shoot.I passed on the opportunity to have another go with the .50 Ardesa pistol as the last time I did I nearly ended up wearing it as a bloody hat!!!.All in all a great day in the Shropshire countryside doing a fair bit of shooting in the (mainly) sunshine :good:

Do you have to join their club or can you just rent a lane?
The above post probably contains sarcasm or some other form of attempted wit, please don't take it to heart.

Good to meet you too Rich. See you Saturday.

Charlz,

Turn up, pay money, shoot stuff at 50 or 100 yrds. Good facility and not too far.

I think the visitors fee is £30 a day.
Had a really good day yesterday trying out some home cast .357s in the Armscor, also tried the 1911 and was quite impressed with it!

Just FAC and club membership or you can shoot as a visitor.

Minsterley Ranges have a club, but you could shoot there as a visitor if you have a valid FAC.NRA membership or affiliation isn't required AFAIK.
