im thinking of getting my daughter a .410 for xmas , she is only 7 , so light weight is of importance ,, the webley bolt action ? what do people think ..
(budget is tight by the way !!)

What about a single barrel Baikal 410?? I've seen youngsters using them.Might pick up a second hand one.

A vote for Baikal here, they were underrated 30 years ago and still are. You could also think about reloading your own, .410 cartridges are expensive and if you look around you might be able to pick up some reloading gear fairly cheaply which means you can build loads to suit her shooting style/shoulder and involve her in something else as well.

From experience women can be very good at reloading given the opportunity and inclination and once you have mastered rolling the top knocking out .410's is very quick and they are a lot cheaper.

have to excuse the newby question ,,,
i've only ever bought factory ammo ... can i by powder etc on my sgc or do i need more paperwork ?

In theory you do not need to produce your SGC for the powder but you will need it to purchase primers.

Thw webley is as basic as they come, & a good reliable shooter. check the saftey catch/button works.

hummm .. interesting ..
my Dad used to own a .38 webley revolver which he carried in the car ,, (in Rhodesia i hasten to add ! ... im sure that was a WWII)
