An excellent article, and one that should be spread as widely as possible to non-shooters.

I'm still trying to decide if it was a lightly positive, lightly negative or completely non-committal article. What do others think?

I had sort of expected more positivity based on the reports back from those involved.

I think that was about as positive as you could reasonably expect a disinterested mainstream journalist to be. The standfirst questioned our current firearms laws and the body copy mentioned how the Olympic pistol team must train abroad. Not the most interesting read, but definitely a feather in our collective caps.

I think Mr Mabbott should keep his opinions about the NRA of USA to himself.

+1 on that point.
I've never met him but all I've heard of him is very negative. I cannot say I'm delighted with him being my representative.
He doesn't even try to engender a decent relationship with the NSRA when they SHOULD be be working hand in glove for the benefit of all shooters.
Purveyor of fine cast boolits.
All round good guy and VERY grumpy old man.
