NOE Enfield rifled musket Pritchett moulds.

#1 Post by dromia »

I am looking for support for NOE to do a run of Pritchett moulds for the Enfield rifled musket.

So if anyone is interested in having one of these moulds register your desire on the NOE site.

Links to the discussion threads are here:

Looks like we have ten interested in the Pritchett. Phwoarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Al will be getting the buy up in a week or so, he is busy installing a new milling machine at present and we need to work on the drawing but it is a step closer.

Excellent opportunity to get a fine bespoke Pritchett mould for your Enfield M/Ls at have the price of a Brooks.

Could someone link me to the proposed cost of a mold before I declare an interest?

Cost will depend on the number of cavities and the size of the blocks needed.

As has been suggested here a couple of times look on the NOE website, the .500 moulds already made should give you an indication.

As Alpha 1 has said google or follow the website links from the NOE forum links above, or if that is too much trouble perhaps looking at some of the past group buy posts on the forum linked in this thread could be illuminating as regards to cost.

You are a dealer dromia, why don't you just order ten and sell them on? Set up as uk NOE importer as it were. Therefore concrete order and fixed price?

No margins in it, the biggest mould market is the US so you'd end up having to selling back to them but at an increased cost when they can get it in the states cheaper. Just doesn't stack up.

Also NOE don't have large inventories as they are a direct seller so getting a good range of moulds would be a continual struggle.

Anyway I think the NOE process works fine as it is, these moulds will get made and at a better price direct from the NOE than I could import and sell for.
